Guendouzi, the young French player who was banned by Chelsea for his role in a racist incident against Liverpool last month, has been granted permission to play for Marseille.
The move comes after Guendouzi's agent, Nicolas Lopes, approached Marseille with a request to sign him. The request was approved by the club's president, Jean-Club, and he will be allowed to join the team on loan until the end of the season.
Lopes had previously stated that Guendouzi would not be able to return to Chelsea if he signed for Marseille, but this has now changed. He said: "We have reached an agreement with Marseille,Campeonato Brasileiro Action and we will see how it goes."
Marseille are hoping that Guendouzi can help them achieve their goals for the season. They are currently in second place in the Ligue 1 table, two points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain. However, they have struggled defensively this season, conceding eight goals in their first seven games.
Guendouzi is known for his technical ability and defensive work-rate, which could provide a much-needed boost to Marseille's defense. He also has experience playing at a high level, having played for both Arsenal and Bordeaux before joining Chelsea.
It remains to be seen whether Guendouzi will be able to make a significant impact for Marseille, but he certainly seems to have the talent to do so. With his arrival, the team should be better equipped to compete for the title.
