Guendouzi, the former French international striker, is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for a transfer fee of €175 million, with his contract expiring in June.
The 29-year-old has made 86 appearances and scored 14 goals in all competitions this season for PSG, which has been relegated from the Champions League last year.
However, Guendouzi has not yet found the form he had in the Premier League and has struggled to find consistent scoring opportunities since joining the club from Benfica in 2017.
In an interview with The Athletic,Football World Guendouzi spoke about his desire to continue playing football in France and said that he was excited by the prospect of playing for PSG again after his move to Marseille.
"I'm really looking forward to playing for PSG," Guendouzi said. "I've been playing well in the Premier League and I know how important it is to play for your country. It would be a dream come true."
However, Guendouzi's departure from PSG may also mean a change in the direction of the team, as manager Rudi Völler has already stated that he will look for new signings to strengthen his squad.
"It's going to be a tough decision for me personally, but I'll do everything possible to make sure that I can help the team," Guendouzi said. "But I think we have the right people who can take us forward."
